Yoga Club

3711 Butler St Pittsburgh, PA 15201

Our camps and clubs are unique because of our small group setting of no more than 12 participants and our staff is trained at making our programs accessible for all!

Mindful Movement

This club is for students who are passionate about movement!  Students will participate in an engaging yoga class, play imaginative games intended to promote mindful social interactions, and make crafts they can use to help support a mindfulness practice at home. This is a smaller group setting with no more than 12 students, and is located in our yoga studio in Lawrenceville. Our staff is trained at making this program accessible for students and we welcome anyone interested to apply.

Mindfulness

We include mindfulness in all aspects of what we do. Throughout our sessions we will encourage students to be present and check in with how they are feeling in the moment. We will teach breath practices and other tools for navigating stress and anxiety. We want participants to feel comfortable showing up just as they are.

Open Up is in our 7th year of teaching yoga in schools.

Our mission is to teach mindfulness tools through movement practices and interactive arts while centering people with disabilities. We want all people to have ease of access in finding avenues for increasing their overall sense of wellbeing. We believe that all people should be able to experience joy in community with others.

Our Open Schools programming has been running strong since 2017. We have been in over 30 schools and 200+ classrooms in the greater Pittsburgh area. We continue to grow and serve our community each year and are thrilled to add an after school program option that centers students living with disabilities.

Our curriculum is made up of accessible wellbeing practices that encourage self-discovery, connection, and joy. Gentle yoga, mindfulness, and improv games help students feel grounded in their bodies and foster social-emotional learning.
